In this hands-on Vietnamese cooking class in Edinburgh, we’ll spend three hours cooking dishes inspired by the street food of Hanoi, starting with one of Vietnam’s best-known dishes – Bun Cha.
You’ll learn to make Bun Cha with juicy Pork Meatballs, noodles, fresh herbs and Nuoc Cham, the sweet, salty and sour dipping sauce that brings the whole thing together. We’ll also make fresh Summer Rolls and a Satay Dipping Sauce to go alongside them.
You’ll make everything on the menu, working in pairs, so you’ll get stuck into every recipe. Along the way, you’ll learn how to get that balance of sweet, salty, sour and spicy just right, as well as picking up a few recipes that are very easy to bring into your cooking at home.
As with all classes at The Wee Kitchen, this is a relaxed, sociable cooking experience. There’ll be demonstrations and guidance as we go, before we sit down together at the end to enjoy everything we’ve made.
Come on your own, bring a friend or make a date night of it. You don’t need any previous cooking experience, and if you already know your way around the kitchen, there’s still lots to learn.
The class is BYOB, so you’re very welcome to bring something along to drink while you cook.
