Learn to cook a colourful Lebanese inspired feast, with Chicken Shawarma, Mint Rice with Pomegranate and Feta salsa, and a Pistachio Knafeh Dessert.

If big flavours, plenty of herbs and a table full of good food are your thing, this could be the class for you.

In this hands-on Lebanese cooking class in Edinburgh, we’ll spend three hours putting together a colourful feast, filled  with spices, herbs, pomegranate, pistachios and plenty more.

You’ll learn to make spiced Chicken Shawarma alongside Mint Rice with a fresh Pomegranate and Feta Salsa. We’ll also make Baked Nectarines with Mast-o-esfenaj, before finishing with Pistachio Knafeh – a Middle Eastern dessert with crispy pastry and a pistachio topping.

You’ll make everything on the menu, working in pairs, so you’ll get hands-on with every dish rather than simply contributing one part of the meal. Along the way, you’ll pick up plenty of techniques, flavour combinations and ideas that you can take home and use in your own cooking.

As with all classes at The Wee Kitchen, this is a relaxed, sociable cooking experience. There’ll be demonstrations and guidance along the way, plenty of time to cook, and we’ll sit down together at the end to enjoy everything we’ve made.

Come on your own, bring a friend or make a date night of it. No previous cooking experience is needed, and there’s plenty here for more confident cooks to get stuck into too.

The class is BYOB, so bring along something you’d like to drink while you cook.
